Steve Pearl

Steve Pearl is the Manager of Hosting Services (Americas) for DPDHL.  He  holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Eastern University and a Master of Science in Information Science from Pennsylvania State University.  In addition to being a self-described “geek” and obsessed with team leadership studies, Steve is a licensed, “Extra” class Amateur Radio Operator.  For more than 18 years, he was active in the “Amateur Radio Emergency Services” (ARES) and “Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services” (RACES) and remains active on the airwaves in Central PA.

Little known facts about Steve Pearl:

  • Was one of the first two student members of the Penn Delco school board
  • Ran the Eastern University Prison Ministry from 1982 – 1985
  • Co-Founded the Eastern University radio station with (the late) Kirk Thompson
  • Was the lead singer and percussionist for a pop and rock cover band called “Off the Record”
  • In the 80’s, he worked as an on-air personality for a 50,000 watt radio station in Boyertown, PA
  • Once did live, on-air, play-by-play coverage for a quilt auction.  (No, we’re not kidding.)
  • Does a scary-good impersonation of Neil Diamond
  • Has done voice-over work for global firms such as American Cyanamid International
